Garden Sanctuary
You who walk,
Maybe with troubled thoughts,
Come, enter here and rest;
And may the sweet serenity of growing things,
And the heavenly,peace
Be mirrored in they soul.

The richness I achieve comes from Nature, the source of my inspiration. ~Claude Monet

I enjoy looking at all the complexities of nature, and I liked shooting this shot of my tree with moss and air plants growing on it. There are hundreds of air plants and I remember living up north and seeing them in stores but never knew where they came frm. T. fasciculata (above), by far the most common species, is also known as the Stiff-leaved wild pine. A highly variable species, it may adorn trees In huge clumps.

Trebah Gardens infrared 14

Trebah Garden seen in infrared using my IR-converted D70.
I've been developing a technique involving using HDR processing with 3 IR files and then reversing the red and blue channels in Photoshop to give the colours seen here. It produces nice blue skies and foliage in shades of pink with the freshest leaves coming out pure white.
Constructive criticism much appreciated - I'm experimenting here !

"Nature's Canvas"

It is utterly impossible to try to improve on nature's canvas. Nature is our gift to enjoy -- every day of the year. Embrace it, enjoy it, and allow nature to fill your heart and soul with peace!
NOTE: Thanks so much for your visits, comments, and invites. It is a thrill for me to share some of my favorite joys with you!
I'm working in the field today, but I will be around to visit this evening! Enjoy nature's canvas today! :-)
